Marine and Inland Waterways surveyor's european college

General presentation

Founded in 1969, the college brings together technicians from each discipline within the vast maritime and riverine sector, united by a spirit of independence, competence, and objectivity.

The college, a non-profit organization under the 1901 French law, is inherently multidisciplinary. From shipbuilding and infrastructure to the environment, safety and navigation, cargo handling and control, underwater work, transport and handling, corrosion, and recreational boating, the college members, working independently or in close collaboration with their colleagues, carry out expert assessments, inspections, monitoring, studies, and technical assistance to the satisfaction of their public and private clients. This commitment is mirrored in their work as when mandated by the Ministry of Justice within the judicial framework. The title of expert thus acquires its true value through efficiency, objectivity, and independence, in accordance with the pledge of honor signed by each member.

The members of the European College of Maritime and River Experts, in addition to their theoretical knowledge, have acquired extensive expertise in their respective specialties throughout their careers.
The established contact between members facilitates technical exchanges, ensuring that each expert benefits from the experience of their peers.

The College, an accredited professional training organization since 1999, thus enables its members to maintain the highest level of knowledge in the face of the constant evolution of maritime technologies.

Furthermore, the College is a founding member of the training center for experts of the Aix-en-Provence Court of Appeal and is also a member of UCECAAP, UMF, GMIF, FEMAS, CMF, and IPF.
